Motorcycle Rider in the Basic Rider CourseThe BRC provides the student with basic formal instruction. After registering, you will receive an instructional email used to register free of charge for the “Basic” eCourse on the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) website. MSF and the Nebraska DMV require the eCourse to be successfully completed prior to attending the BRC. It takes approximately 3 hours to complete and introduces the student to rudimentary riding concepts, managing risk, and motorcycle operation. Once you pass the eCourse (minimum score of 80%), print your certificate and bring it to your scheduled class. The BRC consists of 6 hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of riding activity, which take place over one weekend. We provide the training motorcycle. Successful completion of the BRC waives the requirement to take the Nebraska DMV written examination and road test. It qualifies the student for the Motorcycle Endorsement "M" on their operator's license.
