Why Choose N.M.S.T

The Nebraska Motorcycle Safety Training program utilizes the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's (MSF) curriculum that is based on years of scientific and field experience. This program has been field-tested and has proven successful in developing entry-level and intermediate skills for riding in traffic.

Since 1973, the MSF has set internationally recognized standards that promote the safety of motorcyclists with rider education courses, operator licensing tests, and public information programs. The MSF works with the Federal Government, state agencies, the military, and others to offer training at all skill levels so riders can enjoy a lifetime of safe, responsible motorcycling.

Why should you choose to take your motorcycle training through NMST? We realize that you want to maximize your experience while minimizing cost, so why NMST over the other programs:

RiderCoaches (Instructors): NMST employs the services of the same Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) RiderCoaches that all the other programs use. All RiderCoaches are certified by the state of Nebraska to present the MSF curriculum products.

Curriculum:  NMST uses the same curriculum products that are used by all MSF certified programs.  These include the Learn to Ride programs such as the Basic RiderCourse (BRC) and Returning Rider Basic RiderCourse (RRBRC); and Improving the Ride courses such as the Basic RiderCourse2 (BRC2) and Advanced RiderCourse (ARC).

Facility: A huge plus is that NMST conducts its training, both Classroom and Range at the same location. We have a dedicated classroom for our courses and a dedicated range or riding exercise area in the adjacent parking lot. Indoor lavatory facilities are provided, and we use a very secure safe room in the event of severe weather. We are easy to find at the Bellevue Fire Department’s Training Site located on the north side of Cornhusker Rd. between 25th St. and 36th St. in Bellevue, Ne.

Goal: Our RiderCoaches work very hard to ensure every student has the very best learning experience possible. Riding a motorcycle is fun and requires a unique set of skills but it is not for everyone. NMST does its very best to allow YOU, the prospective motorcycle rider, to achieve YOUR goal.

We at NMST believe our program is the best to help YOU “learn to ride” and we sincerely hope you will choose us to help YOU achieve YOUR goal.

Respectfully,

Bob Lake
