Dan Hoins has accepted a full-time position as the Sarpy County and Cities Wastewater Agency administrator.
Dan has a long history of public service. He joined Sarpy County in July 2017 after spending more than 20 years with the City of Papillion as chief of police and city administrator. During his time as Sarpy County administrator, he helped move forward several milestone projects, including the new Sarpy County Correctional Center, critical mental health initiatives and the first phase of the wastewater agency project.
The wastewater agency will vote to formalize his appointment at its next meeting on Dec. 13. The new role is slated to start Jan. 1.
The county will open the county administrator vacancy to internal applicants for a 7-day period.
